In 2004 Lupe Soto created the first poker tour focussed on women. Since then the Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) have grown into a well respected and successful organisation.

LIPS is currently in 15 states in the US and Canada but is stretching it’s legs to Latin America. It provides all poker enthusiastic ladies the best the game has to offer.
The organisation have partnered with more than 35 casinos across the US to host tournaments and events that offer mid-level buy-ins. It creates a fun, competitive but yet comfotable environment for women poker players of any level.
Although some professional poker ladies are against the women only events, the majority admits that it is a much less intimidating environment and that it is more comfortable to learn the game when playing at a WOE (women-only event). But if you look at the stats and statistics, women are taking home some impressive sums of money.
Best female poker player
Vanessa Selbst tops the list of female poker players. She has dominated female poker for the past 12 years but stepped down in January 2018 with winnings topping over $10,695,299. She won main events on the Cartouche Poker Tour ($1.8 million) and the North America Poker Tour. She also has three world series poker bracelets which is incredibly impressive. To top it all off she won two World Poker Tour final tables raining in a whopping $11.8 million in live cash.
The male dominance in the poker world is finally over. There are some very talented ladies professionals out there that is making name for themselves.
